What a blessing it is to come together in our zone conferences. These are opportunities to be uplifted and edified and to receive inspiration on how we can become more effective in bringing many more souls unto Christ. The challenge we have now is to do what we know as taught in 3 Nephi 14:24-25:
24 Therefore, whoso heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who built his house upon a rock
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock.
Points to put into practice from the conference:
Teach by the Spirit
Effectively Plan for Investigators to Attend Sacrament Meeting
Effectively Plan each and every day with goal of baptizing each week
Contact to baptize!
Achieve the Standard of Excellence in the Chile Santiago North Mission in each key indicator with the purpose of baptizing each week.
We love you and pray for your success!

WELCOME!
Bienvenidos a la Mision Chile Santiago Norte! We love the Savior, and are blessed to be part of this great work, to share His gospel, and invite others to come unto Him. We are grateful to have this incredible opportunity to associate with such fine young men and women and other couples who are serving in this wonderful part of the vineyard. We decided to share this mission through a blog, with any who would like to know more.... All of the lessons, talks, training, conferences, and meetings are obviously done totally in Spanish, but for the sake of this writer, the notes are here in English, for speed in typing, and therefore, mixed with a bit of both worlds. We hope all of our missionaries, families, and loved ones can enjoy this blog, in spite of the writing, grammar, language, errors, etc. This will be a miraculous journey, and we invite you to share and enjoy it with us.

Baptism of Hermana Sonia Concha
Dear Sisters and Elders,
What a great privilege it was today to attend the baptism of Sister Sonia Concha. The service was held in the chapel and one would have thought that it was a Sacrament meeting with so many in attendance. Sister Concha is sixty six years old and is suffering from terminal stomach cancer. Her illness has progressed to the point where she could be called home to Heavenly Father at any time. Her body has deteriorated to the point that she is confined to a wheel chair. She receives constant pain medication because the disease has spread through her body.
What a tremendous example of faith in her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in spite of all of her afflictions. She is truly an angel among us. She has raised her children in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Her sons have served faithful missions. She is a special example of faith and humility. The Spirit was in abundance as her two sons helped her into the baptismal font. As she was submerged in the water and came up again, we could all feel the joy of her family, ward members, visitors and of course, Heavenly Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Even though her body has been taken over by a deadly disease, her spirit has never been so pure and clean. The memory of today´s baptism will remain with me forever and will serve as constant reminder of the importance to have faith in the Lord and a desire to serve Him always no matter what challenges and trials we may experience in this life.
May we be faithful like Sister Concha and be willing to do all that the Lord requires from us no matter what challenges and trials come to us in this life.
We love each of you and pray for your success in bringing many souls unto Christ!
