Elder Bruce R. McConkie has told about Jesus Christ being the Savior of the World:
“Christ is the light; the gospel is the light; the plan of salvation is the light; ‘that which is of God is light; and he that receiveth light, and continueth in God, receiveth more light; and that light groweth brighter and brighter until the perfect day.’ As the light of the sun enters the body through our natural eyes, so the light of heaven—the light of the Spirit which illuminates our souls—enters through our spiritual eyes.”
We can be like a mirror and direct light even into dark places. We are NOT the sources of light; nevertheless, through us light can be reflected to others. We must return and report our stewardship and our words in the heavens when we leave this mortal life. Therefore let us teach and testify with no hesitancy that Jesus Christ lives and He is the Holy Son, the one through whom we gain salvation. He is our Eternal Light.”
