My Commission, by Elder Bruce R. McConkie

Read below to see our new message that we will memorize as a mission this month. Latin missionaries will learn in Espanol, NorteAmericanos en Ingles. Those super achievers...learn in both languages. We have MANY who love to do that for the challenge.
Elder Bruce R. McConkie, wrote this while he was serving as Presidente de la Mision in Australia:(How Great Is My Calling,1961–64). Parents and families might also want to memorize along with your missionary. They will be thrilled if they know you are also working on it for this month! (One month the whole mission learned DyC 4, in the OTHER language (not their native tongue!) and last month was the Standard of Truth, that Joseph Smith taught us. It is impressive to hear these incredible missionaries practice together and achieve so much. The Lord has blessed these great missionaries with talents, abilities, quick minds, and great memories to be able to share and teach with power. They are truly impressive and inspire us! We love you dear missionaries!



MY MISSIONARY COMMISSION
I am called of God. My authority is above that of the kings of the earth. By revelation I have been selected as a personal representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is my Master and he has chosen me to represent him. To stand in his place, to say and do what he himself would say and do if he personally were ministering to the very people to whom he has sent me. My voice is his voice, and my acts are his acts; my words are his words and my doctrine is his doctrine. My commission is to do what he wants done. To say what he wants said. To be a living modern witness in word and deed of the divinity of his great and marvelous latter-day work.

MI COMISIÓN Como MISIONERO o Mi Mandato
Soy un llamado de Dios. Mi autoridad es superior a la de los reyes de la tierra. Por la revelación he sido seleccionado como representante personal del Señor Jesucristo. Él es mi maestro y él me ha escogido para que lo represente. Para ponerse en su lugar, decir y hacer lo que él mismo diría y haría si él, estuviera administrando personalmente, a las mismas personas a quienes me ha enviado. Mi voz es su voz, y mis actos son sus actos, mis palabras son sus palabras y mi doctrina es su doctrina. Mi comisión es hacer lo que quiere que se haga. Para decir lo que quiere, que sea dicho. Para ser testigo moderna viviente en palabra y de hecho de la divinidad de su gran y maravillosa obra de los últimos días.
